We have won a chance to resist the TSA’s egregious behavior in this legislative session — Harvey Kronberg’s Quorum Report now reports that Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst has sent a letter to Governor Rick Perry asking that “restrain-the-TSA” anti-groping bill 82R HB 1937 (now filed as 821 HB41 in the House and 821 SB 29 in the Senate) be re-introduced in special session. Governor Perry only plans to call the finance bills at this juncture.
UPDATE: Governor Perry has placed 821 SB 29 on the agenda! We are very close to victory, but we should not relent in making our voices heard in the Texas Senate!
